When Alan first offered to video me, I felt a bit hesitant. What memories would I share? Would our children be interested in hearing them? How would I come across on a video? Surprisingly, gathering stories was the funnest part! I shared my stories with my husband and he shared his with me -we really enjoyed that gathering process. During the filming, Alan made us feel comfortable, asking us questions to help us get started. Once I started talking, I didn't want to stop! I loved reminiscing about my youth and sharing those things that are important to me. What a valuable gift for our grandchildren! (A little confession here: sometimes when I'm alone, I'll listen to those videos again, just to relive all the wonderful memories:)
